Sunscope Recalls Tumblers Distributed in Canada

Sunscope (asi/90075) has issued a nationwide voluntary recall for tumblers recently given out as a gift-with-purchase in Canada.

The drinkware was part of a promotional campaign for NÜTRL Canada Vodka Seltzer at wine and spirits stores, including Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) and Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation (NLC) retail locations.

The NÜTRL-branded tumbler from Sunscope (asi/90075) can release a contaminant when filled with liquid.

The Canadian division of Top 40 distributor Staples Promotional Products (asi/120601) sold the tumblers to NÜTRL, which offered them as a gift-with-purchase in select stores in April and May 2024. Sunscope issued a voluntary recall due to a contaminant possibly being released when the vessel is filled with liquid.

“Consumer safety is our top priority,” said NÜTRL Canada. “Together with Sunscope and its distributor Staples Promotional Products Canada, we are working with Health Canada to proactively notify consumers.”

ASI Media has contacted Sunscope and Staples Promotional Products for comment.

The tumblers were offered as giveaways with purchases of the NÜTRL Mixed 7-pack and 12-pack, and Vodka Soda Tropical Mixed Pack.

Consumers should immediately stop using the tumbler and call (866) 846-1778 or send a message to [email protected] for additional information.
